Autumn calling

Unseasonably cool air pushed south today.  Along with low humidity and the sound of crickets and I’m reminded that summer has nearly come to an end.  For some, this may mean outdoor activities slow down.  However, if you live in the South, you know that autumn brings us some of the BEST conditions for enjoying the great outdoors!  Lakeside crowds dwindle along with high heat, humidity, boat traffic, mosquitoes and parking fees.  And did you know that Jordan Lake supports the largest concentration of bald eagles in the eastern U.S?  All summer long, we’ve spotted Eagles during our SUP tours and lessons.  There’s nothing like gliding along on your Stand Up Paddleboard with these magnificent birds overhead or in treetops.

So, if you have yet to experience Stand Up Paddleboarding this summer, no worries.  Ditch the crowds and the heat for a quiet paddle on the scenic lake with us...and if we're lucky, the eagles.  You won’t regret it.
